Incisive Recording Group (IRG) is the music and recording division of Incisive Entertainment, created to release, support, and promote music from independent artists.

As the parent company, Incisive Entertainment has built its foundation around independent creativity across music, film, visual production, and original media. Incisive Recording Group expands that vision by providing a dedicated home for the company's music releases and artist-focused projects.

Our Mission

Incisive Recording Group believes independent artists should have the opportunity to release quality music while maintaining the individuality and creative vision that make their work distinctive.

Our focus is on working with independent artists whose music, talent, and stories deserve an opportunity to reach audiences. Rather than trying to fit every artist into the same mold, IRG values authenticity, strong music, artist identity, and long-term creative development.

Leadership

Edward "Caboose" Tate serves as Managing Director of Incisive Recording Group, providing leadership for the division's music operations, artist relationships, and strategic growth. Working within the broader vision of Incisive Entertainment, Edward Tate helps guide IRG's development while identifying opportunities to support and build meaningful partnerships with independent artists.

A Foundation in Independent Music

The creation of Incisive Recording Group (IRG) builds upon Incisive Entertainment's previous experience releasing independent music.

That history includes the single "All Your Love" by Jazz, a member of the multi-platinum R&B group Dru Hill, as well as "Gone Over You" by independent R&B artist Monieo.

These releases represent an important part of Incisive Entertainment's history in music and helped establish the foundation for what would eventually become a dedicated recording division.

With Incisive Recording Group, that experience now moves forward under a distinct music identity within the Incisive Entertainment family.

Supporting Independent Artists

IRG's primary concentration is independent music.

We recognize that talented artists are creating meaningful music outside of the traditional major-label system every day. Incisive Recording Group is being developed as a platform where selected independent artists and projects can receive the support, structure, and professional presentation necessary to bring their music to the public.

Our approach is centered on the artist and the music. We want artists to have room to develop their sound, establish their identity, and connect authentically with listeners.
